FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (faqs)

Do I need a cosmetology or esthetics license to enroll?
No. This program is beginner-friendly and open to the public nationwide.

What’s the difference between the Online Theory Only and Hands-On option?
The Online Theory Only option covers electrology theory only. The Hands-On option includes online theory plus 4 days of in-person training in Houston, with live demonstrations and guided practice. For in-person training, you may train one-on-one ($3,500 total) or join a group class for a $500 discount.

What machine do I receive with the Hands-On + Machine + Kit option?
Students receive our private label electrolysis machine, manufactured in Poland, featuring all three modalities (Galvanic, Thermolysis, and Blend). It is travel-friendly, compatible with F and K shanks, and includes a 2-year warranty.

Will I receive a certificate after completing the course?
Yes. Students who complete the course will receive a Certificate of Completion. For those licensed by TDLR, we issue 4 hours of continuing education (CE).

Will this training allow me to practice electrolysis in my state?
Licensing requirements vary by state. We recommend checking with your state licensing board before enrolling. As of 1/1/26, the following states do not require a license: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

What should I wear to class?
Students may wear any color scrubs (preferred) or business casual attire. Closed-toe shoes are required.

Do I need to bring anything?
Yes. Please bring magnifying glasses or wear prescription glasses/contacts. Electrolysis requires close-up precision. We also recommend limiting caffeine during training for comfort, focus, and steady hands.

What areas of the body will we practice on during training?
For comfort and professionalism, students will only practice on the face and areas no lower than the underarms during training. Students should notify us in advance if they do not wish to work on male models, and we will do our best to accommodate.
